The fault in our stars

I really like this book. Actually, I have finished reading it 2 months ago, some time after I read "And The Mountains Echoed". But I forgot about it for some reasons and ended up not writing a review for it. As a result, 2 months later, which is now, I have forgotten almost every details about the book, which means it's not that good that it burnt completely in my head, but very impressive for me to still remember main issues that were in the book.

[Spoiler Alert!]

The fault in our stars is a book about young cancer survivors, having been ill for a long long time, some for almost all their lifetime, and living their life normally, or eventually giving up to the terminal disease.  We are given 1 protagonist, a 16-year-old girl named Hazel, that has to live with incurable cancer for as long as she lives. She was forced by her mother to attend a support group, where she subsequently meets and falls in love with a young boy named Augustus Waters, 17, having been in recess for the last 3 years, and ex basketball player that had to give up one of his legs due to his cancer. Long story short, the odds attract, and the two becomes lovebirds, a sweet one indeed.

One day August finds out that the cancers in his body had awoken and had spread tragically everywhere, making it impossible for a recovery. August always referred to this unfortunate turn of event as if christmas lights lit in his body like a tree. The end is predictable, August passed away and leaving Hazel alone, but not suicidal. The ending, in my opinion, is not the most crucial part of the book. Yes, Augustus has to die in the end, but the important things are what happened in the middle. I cannot tell you the details, as I myself, by the time I wrote this, couldn't recall exactly every phase they went through. But one thing for sure, it's inspiring and sad at the same time. All I can say is, please read the book. You will love it. I do. Okay? Okay. (It was their thing, Hazel and August. Okay.)

The fault, my dear, is definitely not in our stars. I'll be waiting with high hopes what will become of the adaptation movie.
