You Should Know When to Stop
Humans. We are the creature who will never be satisfied. It is in our basic instinct to want more, even when in reality we already have more than enough for a life time.
A reality we cannot escape is we will always cross roads with someone who is more than willing to do anything in their power to drive us nuts. Every single day we must be and work with people who abuse their power and knowledge. A control freak who listens to no one. A perfectionist who leaves no room for mistakes, who chooses quantity over quality. He is blinded with numbers, statistics and overlooks a more important factor, the people itself.
Often times we forget that numbers don't always win. That sometimes we have to think more about the heart and the people beyond that figures. We rejoice over our accomplishments in defeating enemies, but in an instance not remembering the blood and tears that must be spilled in order to achieve victory. We sacrifice our more humane side for numbers and figures. We end up killing other people, too, mentally, and maybe physically.
Too many innocent victims have fallen in this bloody war.
Too many must experience unfairness because of 1 person who does not know when to stop and look deeper into his heart. Who has long forgotten how it feels like to be in the starting line and falls down a couple times. He has been at the top for too long, he forgot about the earth where he stands. I pity him.
What is the meaning of success when you lose yourself along the way? When people act nice on your face but kill your characters behind your back? Maybe you no longer give a care. Maybe you think they are jealous of your power and position. Little did you know that they aren't. Not in the slightest. They truly wish for your failure and will celebrate over your lost. They are the happiest when you are down. They have no room for respects for you as a leader. Shame on you who do not see, who might actually see and not trying to understand.
I wish one day people of this kind will fall again so that they remember. Once again.
