Into Make-Up
I grew up late as a woman. I didn't really need make up until I graduated from university (which was like only 6 months ago). But ever since I got a job and started working, I feel the need to fill in my beauty case. I started buying beauty products, and I really go for korean's brands, mostly Etude House. Little by little, I can see myself become a beauty junkie without really knowing how to correctly apply make-up on my face. I just do it the way I like. :|
Anyway, I wanna share about the very first lipstick I bought, which is an Etude.
It comes from the limited edition XOXO Minnie series, where Etude House collaborating with Disney, and came up with a series of Minnie's make ups. The complete series consist of a wide range of make up, from blusher, highlighter, lipstick, eye shadows, mascara, to nail polish. And I happened to fall in love with the whole packaging. Etude House is crazy about packaging and design, and they always do amazing jobs with it. xoxo Minnie is no exception. Looking at the picture above, although I'm not a Minnie fan, I shrieked in cuteness and wanting to get all of them. But no, I didn't buy all of them, I don't have the money for it, so I satisfied myself with buying only some. One of them is the lipstick.
I never own a lipstick before. I only had lip balm, gloss, and lip tint, all of which ended up thrown away without being used to the fullest. I didnt really care about coloring my lips. But now is a different story. I started to care about lips. I started to wear lipstick to work (out of requirements) and I always apply balm whenever my lips feel dry. So, I, who only borrowed my sister's unused lipstick until a few days ago, decided to buy a lipstick. This is what I picked:
It's red in color. very red, very bright. Fiery red. And I love it. The whole packaging had had me from the very first time. I never wore red lipstick before, so it's a whole new experience that I enjoy. When being used, this lipstick produced a creamy red color, that can stay for several good hours before fading completely, and it doesn't make your lips dry. The advertisement said that the lip color also had moisturizing effect. I guess it's true.
I might get more lipsticks in the future, but for now, I'll continue using this one and the one I stole from my sister. I'm not a beauty blogger, I don't know how to take a good picture of make-ups and swatches and everything, but maybe I'll try to review more seriously from a commoner's point of view. Until then, I guess I'll stick to books and motion pictures.
