Despicable Me 2: Another minions explosion!

Tell me, really. who can resist the 2 adorable creatureswith all their jibber jabber ?

This week's movie review will be no other than Despicable Me 2! I watched the 3D version of the movie last Friday, with 2 girlfriends, laughing and giggling.

As you can see, I'm currently contracted with minion fever, and it's getting worse thanks to McDonald's Happy Meal toys set for this month: Despicable Me 2's minions. (which I have told you about in the previous section). So, after the movie was released, I couldn't wait to watch it, with so much anticipation. Last Friday I finally got the chance to do so. 

Let me begin by saying the 3D effects were nothing spectacular, if not boring. I recommend watching the 3D only if the price is the same as the original 2D movie. But if 3D costs you more than 2D, it's wiser to watch the 2D. But as I always say, it's your choice. Some people enjoy watching 3D, regardless the effects. For me, watching 3D movie that doesn't feel much like a 3D is pointless. and that's how I described the 3D for Despicable Me 2. It's a shame. 

However, don't worry about being bored during the movie. It's a 100-minutes long, long enough for an animation movie to be, but not long enough if you're talking about minions. The X-factors of the movie are really the minions and for most people with no minion fever, Agnes (Gru's smallest daughter). They're so adorable and always entertaining, and in the second installment, we got to see more sides of them. Don't leave out the appearance of purple, evil minons too! The audience may say that evil minions are weird and ugly, but that's exactly why I love them! Ugly minions are hypnotizing. They're not really evil though, just savage and even more brainless than the normal yellow minions. HAHA. 

Then come the part where I have to talk about the storyline. Let me get this straight. My views and perspectives are much less biased even if I love minions. I know how to be objective when needed. I frankly have to say the storyline is super predictable. It's as easy as a pie. I don't wanna spill the beans here, it will reduce your excitement to watch the still-so-hilarious movie. Although it's predictable, some parts of me stop caring about the mastermind behind the stealing of PX-41 serum and the easy plot, and just wanna see a happy ending. So, a happy ending you will get. The film maker manages to cover the so-so plot with countless funny and aw-so-sweet moments throughout the film, that mostly including a minion and Agnes. 

Overall, Despicable Me 2 will give you so much laughter than you can imagine, for all movie-goers who are bored and sick of the complicated films Hollywood provide this month.
