A bird in a cage
A little bird tried to fly and spread its wings for the first time since it hatched from its shell.
A little scared, a little doubt casted overhead. The little bird struggled to find courage.
But when the courage was found, the hope of flying was crushed by the voice of its mother.
Again it went back to its nest just when it was about to take off.
"You're not ready yet," said the mother.
"When will I, then?"
"Later. But for now, you should rest and take it slow."
The little bird knew, even its mother didn't know when it's ready to let go of its son.
For now, the little bird curled up in its comfortable nest, left with only a false dream of leaving.
"Maybe these wings aren't even real, after all," it muttered.
