Year-End Review: 5 Best Korean Drama 2012

To mark the end of 2012, I'd like to give my personal taste on several K-Dramas that I considered the best among the others. Please note that the genre, broadcasting station, and actors/actresses may vary, and the dramas i picked below are personal hand-picked, without any professional views.

I don't know what theoretically makes a good drama, but in my honest opinion, a drama must be entertaining, combined with romance (in a big or little dose), and good acting skills. So, here are my Top 5 Best Korean Dramas 2012:
1. Queen In Hyun's Man
2. Rooftop Prince
3. Nice Guy
4. A Gentleman's Dignity
5. Love's Rain
They're my top 5 favorite dramas of the year, and the factors range so wide from good-looking actors to heartwarming storyline. Most of all, those were the dramas that made me feel butterflies in my stomach, that could bring a lot of laughter, tears, and heartache. A certain K-drama website mentioned some of the dramas I picked above as overrated, but for me they're the best. Like it or not, it's my personal taste after all. :)

The other honorable mentions for K-Dramas 2012:
1. I Miss You
2. King of Dramas
3. Big
They're good dramas I enjoyed, and 2 of them (I miss you, King of Dramas) will continue next year with 4 more episodes to come. The storyline was kinda weak, some was developing too slow, causing me, as the viewer, to constantly yawning and having a hard time to keep my eyes open. But they're still good enough, thanks to the excellent acting skills of the actors (Anthony Kim from KoD, that Gong Yoo from Big, and Yoochun on IMY).

Heartthrobs of the year:
1. Ji Hyun Woo - Queen In Hyun's Man (can I be your queen, please?)
2. Song Joong Ki - Nice Guy (because Joong Ki is too cute.)
3. Jang Geun Suk - Love Rain (it's JGS, for crying out loud. Always my baby)
4. Yoochun - Rooftop Prince (hey mickey! you're good enough)
5. Kim Min Jong - A Gentleman's Dignity (Yoon oppa, I want to marry you!!!)

Best Kisser and Kissing Scene of the year:

Ji Hyun Woo a.k.a Kim Boong Do on Queen In Hyun's Man. Seriously, Queen In Hyun's Man has the most hypnotizing, and passionate kissing scenes I've ever seen in K-dramas this year. They're truly the ones that made you wanna kiss someone just as bad. Kim Boong Do is by far the best kisser whose lips I'd love to try (?)

At last, allow me to wish you a Happy New Year 2013, fellow blog readers! Let's pray for a better us in 2013, restoration in humanity, a greener Earth, and respect for animals, namely mammals. Ha. Let's love mammals and together save the furry friends!
