Catching Fire
Last time I checked, Katniss wasn't so irritating.
The first half of the book, especially the 1st and 2nd part were so flat and boring I found myself scanning the pages. Scanning. Not reading. But I like the turn of event, when they suddenly had to go back to the arena, just to find it's all been schemed as another rebellion in the end. Frustrating, huh? It seems that the odds are never in their favor.
Favorite part of the 2nd book, of course the last part, Part III, Enemy, where the games began. The way they tried so hard to protect Katniss and the tag-along Peeta, I gotta give Suzanne Collins an A for creativity.
It's kinda sad and heart-breaking though, watching Peeta so madly in love with Katniss and tried to be as useful as ever just to be captured in the end. So much for our hero. Oh Peeta, you're not the best when it comes to physical build, but no character can win when it comes to your heart. It's just pure, so pure, with no bad intentions what so ever.
Regarding Katniss and Gale, I have no comment on this pair. Katniss is guilty for playing men's hearts. She's so strong she doesn't need any helps from her lover(s), but so weak at the same time. I don't know what to say about her. She made quite an indecent heroine.
The last sentence of the book came as quite a shock for me. There's no District 12. Boo, ya! So much had happened while Katniss lied unconscious in the air!
Cannot wait to read the last of the series, Mockingjay. Capitol goes down, down, down!
