ONEJOYFUL DAY

What a difference, right? 

At the end of November, I did something new & exciting for the first time. Joining a social gathering with a fashion magazine, JOY Indonesia. The event was called "oneJOYful day". I was able to be included in this thanks to my cousin who works as the photographer at JOY.

So, long story short, I had one day of make-over and hair-do. and free lunch. and also a chance to meet JOY's editorial staffs and NYX's make up artist & stylist as their partner. The event took place in Ciputra World. Our meeting point was at Bakerzin, where we waited for all 5 chosen JOY readers and the crews to gather. After a glass of sweet iced tea and a warm-friendly chitchat with everybody, we moved on to Christopher salon (apparently chosen because there was no other beauty salons in CW) to get our hair done. My hair was curled outward and was let hanging loose. As a result, I got a plumped volumized hair that I personally love. :)

Next was the make-up session. They took us to NYX's stand in Metro Dept. They let us chose what kind of make-up we wanted, and I decided I wanted to do something with smoky eyes. I rarely put on any heavy make-up on, so my changing was quite drastic. But the make up artist did a great job. I was deeply satisfied with their work. I felt like a hot babe. It was hard for me to remove the make-up once I got home. I wanted to feel pretty a little bit longer. HAHA. Moreover, I also tried their nail polish line. I picked deep, navy blue for my finger nails.

For lunch, we went back to Bakerzin and I ordered creamy mushroom fettucini. I loved their creamy fettucini, which was very rich in cream, and came in a perfect portion too! We took some photos, together and individually, We talked more, and more and some more. JOY gave each of us a goody bag too. Came with the bag were 1 JOY magazine, 1 make up pouch, MAP gift voucher worths Rp 100.000, and 1 notepad along with a pen.

We parted at around 4 PM, and I guess the beauty fun isn't over yet. Tomorrow there's a beauty class held in Shangri-la. This time, I'm not coming alone. My sister and friends will join me. Psst.. I heard that everyone will get 1 NYX brush. Not too bad, huh? ;)
