Who are you to judge?
Instead of posting and writing and whining about my 'too freaking normal' daily life, I'll start flooding my blog with my thoughts and opinions. i think it sounds better, and make this blog slightly more useful.
CAUTION!
some things I said might sound offensive. please forgive me if you feel offended. I mean no harm.
Here's the background idea:
I found this boy who called himself a team jonas, who apparently doesn't understand English, and, I just found out that he's also an idiot.
long story short, Joe jonas said 'apa kabar' in a video message to all malaysian fans (since Jobros are performing in KL on Oct 24th). I (using JB-ID's twitter), tweeted the link to that video and highlighted the fact that Joe said apa kabar. cause, you know, it's melayu, but it's also indonesian. So, Joe saying apa kabar is a pretty big deal for us. this fanboy (later I'm referring him as R) replied that tweet: "sebenarny apa kabar itu bahasa indonesia. maklum mereka cuma bisa niru." - or something quite like that.
Believe me, I was instantly irritated and full with rage. and I'm ashamed to know that he's a fan of the Jonas Brothers. I replied by saying: "maaf. bahasa indonesia itu akarnya dari bahasa melayu juga. jangan salah." - because I wanted to give him an insight to his too-small-brain.
you know what R said next? "trus mau gimana lagi? ya sudahlah besok Indonesia pindah ke Eropa :))" - I was like WHAT THE FREAKING FUCK? what next you said? watch your mouth, you retarded boy! learn to know your place. learn to think before you speak. and move Indonesia to Europe? what exactly are you trying to say? I think you just don't get what I meant in my previous tweet. oh yeah, you're not that bright. sorry, my fault. :|
And my points:
Indonesian has to stop thinking Malaysia steals everything from us. Maybe it's us who just doesn't appreciate what we have. or - have you ever think about the long history of Indonesia and Malaysia? These 2 countries are similar, in language, and also in cultures. even Indonesian used to speak melayu, before we decided to create our own language, and adapted Melayu, to which we now know as Bahasa. So, stop claiming everything as our very very own when we don't know FOR SURE. STOP, by all means, for the love of God, oh freaking please, just STOP hating Malaysia for such non sense! All these negative sentiments against Malaysia, our long stupid feud, I'm honestly tired of these.
Stop putting the blame on others. Reflect on ourselves first. To put it simply, find the mistakes from inside before you start pointing fingers at others.
Are your fingers clean? Who are you to judge?
Respect others. Build your own country. Make yourself presentable in front of others. Make the world know you based on what you've achieved, not your scandals.
What's in it for us anyway? At the end of the day, we're far left behind from Malaysia. This, we need to admit. Our long dispute should be turned to a peace agreement or anything. Something that will benefit both parties. If you feel like people are stealing from us, then take care of what's ours. Don't put our guards down. Escalate the security system or something. Do something civilized, well-educated people will do. Don't be an embarrassment. You're making your country a laughing stock in the international world by acting in haste.
Don't live in a well. Broaden your horizon. See other perspectives. Something different than yours, something on the other end. Think. Be critical. Question your every value. Then decide what suits you best. Open your mind. Stop thinking you're right and everybody else is wrong. What is right? what is wrong? Why are you right and everybody not?
READ. SOME. MORE. BE RESOURCEFUL.
- for the sake of world peace.
we don't want more blood to be uselessly spilled. do we?
